A part of London Design Festival 2021, Shoreditch Design Triangle and Adorno London, the exhibit took up residence at Dray Walk Gallery, a hip event space in the Truman Brewery in London’s East End. Both a part of London Design Festival 2021 and a free-standing exhibition, Tactile Baltics offered an insight to an eclectic mix of compelling designs from the three Baltic countries: Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. With a focus on tactility, visitors could feel the environment around them as they trace a path through the exhibition. Inspired by the islands and the long coastline of the three baltic states, the site specific installation played with the concept of islands fallen down from the sky. The large circular holes in the gallery ceiling formed the basis for the placement of these isles, as the surreal blue sand dunes fell down mirroring the areas of the holes.
